Florida Mortgage Licensing
In Florida, a mortgage broker and mortgage lender license applicant needs a Principal Loan Originator. Florida requires completion of a 20 hour education course and a passing grade on the National NMLS Test and Florida NMLS Test to obtain a Loan Originator License. You need at least one person to obtain the Loan Originator License to be listed as the Principal Loan Originator. The Mortgage Lender Servicer License allows a company to broker, lend, and service, the Mortgage Lender License allows a company to broker and lend, and the Mortgage Broker License just allows a company to broker.Mortgage Servicer Licensing
