Florida Mortgage Licensing
Florida requires that one person from your mortgage company take a test that is only offered in the state of Florida in order to obtain a mortgage license. A mortgage broker needs a principal broker and a mortgage lender and correspondent mortgage lender needs a principal representative. Not only do you have to go to the state to take the test, but you have to complete a 24 hour live education course that is also only offered in Florida. If you want to get licensed in Florida, plan on going to the state for about 5 days to complete the education and then take the test.
